In addition to the ISL8117/A, several other Renesas devices also fit the applications discussed. For battery systems using lithium-ion battery packs, the ISL94203 provides complete standalone operation for monitoring, protecting and balancing 3 to 8 cells. Numerous other power devices can generally be included in a design, but the ISL80510 LDO is one of the more common pairings with the ISL8117/A.
