Looking at the competition for buck-boost converters in the class of the ISL9120IR, there is only one competitor in a QFN package. Notice the other two competitors shown are offering devices in chip-scale packaging which is not an option for most embedded customers. The ISL9120IR has better input voltage range, quiescent current, higher output current, offers bypass mode, and most importantly better efficiency than the Comp A device thanks to lower resistance MOSFETs.
