All models come with the visual life indicator on the front of the module. This flag will either be green if everything is working as intended or not green if the MOV inside it is no longer providing protection. When the MOV reaches end of life, it changes the flag and triggers the remote contact. When ordering, the -R at the end of the part number represents the remote contact. Some models will have the option to order the SPD without the remote contact.
