G.hn begun in 2006 as a standard to unify the many incompatible home networking protocols. As a result, G.hn is suited for high or low bandwidth communications over any existing home wiring, of which, power lines became most popular. In this example, triple-play service along with home automation and security can all be easily installed and deployed over existing home power lines.
