The top of the line debugger from Microchip is the MPLAB Real ICE. This is a high performance real time debugger with unlimited debugging capability and real time data monitoring features. The middle level solution provided by Microchip is the MPLAB ICD3. This debugger offers limited debugging and real time data monitoring features. At the low end of the spectrum, is the PICkit 3 debug express. Depending on the application’s complexity, there is now a choice of selecting the appropriate debugger.
