The AD module can change mode at any time during system operation. A new SFR bit, called “12BIT”, selects the operating mode of the AD module. If 12BIT is zero, the module operates as a 10-bit AD that has 4 sample and hold channels and converts signals at up to 1.1 mega samples per second. If 12BIT is one, the module operates as a 12-bit AD that has 1 sample and hold channel and converts signals at up to 500K samples per second.
