The internal structure of Nichicon’s conductive polymer aluminum capacitor is very similar to a standard aluminum electrolytic capacitor. The key difference is that a conductive polymer is used as the cathode instead of a liquid electrolyte. Other than that, the assembly, as shown here, is the same process.
