The Spyder08’s primary hardware feature is a standard USB connector which allows quick plug-and-play functionality and portability. The Spyder08 includes the S08QG4 microcontroller in an 8-pin DIP package that can easily be replaced with KA or QD devices. Also, the 6-pin header and cable allows connections to target application boards for KA, QD, and QG devices that are not in 8-pin DIP packages. Another feature of the Spyder08 is its small size which measures approximately 28 x 20 x 83mm.
