A refrigerator designer usually has two motor selections to make. One is for the stepper motor controlling the damper, like the LV8548MC, and a two channel forward reverse brush motor driver for the automatic ice maker, like the LB1948MC. The LB1948MC & LV8548MC can actually be used in both applications because they can be configured either as a stepper motor driver or as a two channel forward reverse motor driver.
