Qualtek power supplies feature built in protections such as overload, over voltage, and short circuit protection. These power supplies feature a hiccup current limit feature. If a current limit is sensed, the power supply will reduce its output voltage to zero and then after a short time it will attempt to provide a normal output voltage. The power supply will continue this on-off event until the overload condition has been removed.
