Examples of industrial motors are shown in the chart and images on this slide. Industrial motors can be categorized based on their input power supplies. Those powered from AC voltages can be further classified depending on the voltage level and gate drive isolation topology. These AC motors are mainly found in factories and commercial buildings. Some motors also operate from DC voltages using onboard batteries, such as those for e-mobility applications.
