A typical application for this type of device would be a small home appliance that requires an LCD display for user interface and a controlled heating element. Typically a designer would want to modulate control of IGBTs to moderate the heating element. The two PWM modules on these devices are ideal for that type of control. The SA type ADC could be used for monitoring the temperature.
