Brushed DC (BDC) motors are mainly used in rotational motor applications with low to medium power. Such motors may be used in a robot vacuum cleaner’s wheels and side brushes. The product lineup for ROHM’s high-voltage DC brushed motor driver covers 36 V and 50 V absolute max supply voltage from 0.5 A to 5 A current drive and one-channel or two-channel drivers. Many products are pin-to-pin compatible with each other, making it easy to scale a design without needing to change the PCB layout.
