The first standard, the AEC Q101, defines the stress test qualification for automotive grade discrete components. The standard also defines documentation requested in the Production Parts Approval Process, PPAP, and the specifications for the discrete device, with an attachment detailing the ESD tests in all of standard models: human body model (HBM), machine model (MM), capacitive discharge model (CDM), also give some direction as to how to conduct testing during the manufacturing process.
