The SPWF01S Wi-Fi module is a serial-to-Wi-Fi module with a serial interface on one side that allows communication with microcontrollers like STM32 and STM8. On the other side, it is connected to the Internet with the Wi-Fi transceiver. The module features two chipsets, a microcontroller that takes care of the application utilities and the stack and a WiFi chipset, the CW1100. So the entire silicon solution on this module is an ST solution.
