The STM8S allows easy migration across different packages in the family. Analog functions are placed on the same side of each package. Similarly other peripherals (communication, system, and timers) are also located in a consistent way across the different packages. Designers can therefore design a range of products based on the STM8S, taking advantage of the broad range of performance and memory options, while also keeping consistency across different packages.
