The STM8S has an advanced debug module which allows unlimited instruction breakpoints, two configurable advanced breakpoints, reading and writing of RAM and peripherals, and reading of Flash during applications execution. Using only a single pin on the STM8S it is possible to access all the advanced debug functions or program the Flash Memory.
