Finally, eGaN FETs provide many benefits and operate similarly to conventional silicon MOSFETs but have some considerations that need to be understood. eGaN FETs have a lower Gate-Source threshold voltage and a narrower gate drive voltage range compared to silicon MOSFETS. Additionally, the reverse conduction voltage is greater and careful attention must be made to the bootstrap voltage.
