This slide shows a case study of four different TIMs on the same device. The device is a common size and power for the electronics industry. By changing from a high performance tape to a phase change material, the device temperature can be reduced by 22.4°C. This temperature reduction is from changing the TIM only, as the heatsink is identical. The benefits of using a phase change material, in conjunction with a clip-on attachment, are clearly shown.
