Selection of the proper o-ring material is usually just a simple matter of choosing the standard fastener o-ring material, which is a high grade silicone rubber. From over 60 years of sealing experience, silicone rubber provides the best balance of sealability and long life. However, there are certain applications that might require a different o-ring material.
