Shown here is the configuration of a mild hybrid car. In mild hybrid cars, there will be two voltage levels, the 12 V and 48 V board nets. The combustion engine is connected to a so-called belt driven starter generator which is connected via a belt. The important point is that there will be an increasing demand for devices for 48 V board nets, and this is where the 80 V RET comes into play.
