In summary, using a micro-power kHz MEMS timing solution reduces BLE system power by upwards of 30% compared to a conventional 32kHz quartz oscillator. Also, a 17% power savings is achievable with a MHz oscillator over an equivalent quartz solution. In addition to power savings, these micro-power MEMS oscillators provide more accurate time keeping, save costs, save PCB real-estate, and make the end product environmentally resilient.
