Three-phase brushless DC motors are efficient, have a long working life, and they are a very good fit for continuously operated, high-power applications. To drive these motors, a three phase inverter is required, and that is where this driver IC comes into play. Because of sensorless position and speed detection, the L99ASC03 augments the value of the brushless DC motors. Typical applications would be fuel pumps, water pumps, vacuum pumps, and most any type of pump or fan.
