This is Tyco Electronics' traditional junction box. This provides the transition from the bus structure of the solar module to traditional wiring that connects the modules and arrays. It is chosen by the module manufacturer as are the connectors. Installers are then forced to use whatever connectors come with the panels. These junction boxes are on a variety of modules including GE, Schott, SunPower, and Day4Energy. The connector scheme has been adopted by GE and Day4Energy.
