The diagram on this slide illustrates the types of interfaces available for industrial applications. These can be either wireless interfaces such as Zigbee, W-HART or Wi-Fi. But the most popular interfaces today are the wired interfaces – the 4-20 mA current loop, IO-Link, and HART.
