WiLink 8 targets four different segments, or types, of applications. There are different features of WiLink 8 that complement each of these applications. In audio, TI worked with third parties to develop a turnkey solution with audio synchronization up to 20 µS. For home automation, coexistence between Wifi and ZigBee/6LoWPAN was enabled with the Sitara AM335x. For wearables, WiLink8 has low power consumption, making the applications more efficient.
