In summary, there are four main benefits associated with the Torex XC9235/9236 family of synchronous step-down DC/DC converters: simple circuits which require only three external components, one inductor and two ceramic capacitors; a small design layout which only requires 45 mm² for the entire circuit; a high efficiency over the full load current range, only drawing 15uA of quiescent current at no-load condition; and excellent ripple performance even when using the PFM/PWM auto shifting version.
