With the advance in low-voltage operation in small equipment such as cell-phones and portable audio devices, the demand for smaller MOSFETs with low-voltage drive and low on-resistance has been rapidly increasing. To meet such requirements, Toshiba has developed 1.5-V P-channel devices that are housed in a small and thin 1208-size package: CST3B (1.2x0.8mm). The SSM3J46CTB has an ON-resistance of about 250mΩ(max) (@VGS=-1.5V) and is best suited to be used for switching a current of about 500 mA.
