There are many different light sources such as sunlight, fluorescent, incandescent, and white LEDs. These light sources are all comprised of multiple wavelengths of light.  They also have different levels of power or spectral irradiance commonly referred to as intensity. For example, incandescent lights emit visible wavelengths but they also emit a significant amount of power in the near infrared, an area of the spectrum to which human eyes are insensitive.
