The 12-bit ADC implemented on the SAM3U is a 1 Megasamples cyclic pipeline ADC which is a good trade-off between sampling rate and resolution. It features 12-bit resolution and a 1 MHz conversion rate with a 20 MHz input clock. The power supply operation range is between 2.4 V and 3.6 V. Input voltage can be selected as either single-ended or differential, and there is also a programmable gain. A standby mode and power-down capability help to reduce power consumption.
