With competitors’ solutions, the timing of decay modes must be programmed with external RC circuits. With the L6474, all of the values are in a register that can be read or written by the microcontroller through an SPI bus (addresses h0E, h0F and h10). The current is also programmed with the TVAL value (h09 address).
