The ADAM-6700 series is designed as an open Linux platform that allows more flexibility through programming. Users can process the data using the C-language API built into the module or Node-RED, which is a graphic program tool developed by IBM. As a compact edge intelligent gateway, the user can preprocess data and take timely actions which can limit the amount of data sent to the Cloud.
