A comparison of standard capacitor designs to FLEXISAFE is shown here. The primary tradeoff of this technology is that, for a similarly sized capacitor, the capacitance is ¼ that of traditional MLCCs since the FLEXISAFE device consists of two capacitors cascaded in series in conjunction with a reduction in electrode plate area.
