Looking at the close in performance of the 80 MHz oscillator, the phase noise at 10 Hz is -67.94 dBc/Hz and the noise floor at 1 MHz is -166.82 dBc/Hz. The ability to design in an oscillator with lower noise provides a significant gain in design when noise generation is an issue. The best way to eliminate unwanted noise from a circuit design is to never create it.
