Brushless DC internal rotor motors reach the next level of performance and efficiency. ebm-papst’s ECI series reaches up to 90% efficiency, even with integrated drive electronics. Overload capacity is approximately three times the nominal load; this allows use of a smaller motor for a high torque demand when starting an application. The drive electronics can be integrated or external – an integrated version is shown here. These motors are available in diameters of 42mm to 80mm, and can also be combined with gearboxes and other external modules to create a versatile and unique solution.
