TDK’s 3D coils are unique in that they comprise three components into one, allowing for reduction of components saving board space while improving the overall spacial recognition of the device. This diagram shows the overlapping XYZ axis. The benefit of devices designed with the 3D coils is that they allow the user more freedom with key fob operation. The user is not locked into “line of sight” operation.
