Another consideration when choosing a meter is how well it holds up to electromagnetic interference (EMI).  All conductors that carry current can be a potential source of EMI and can cause unstable reading or unreadable measurements. All Fluke meters are EMI shielded. Most have rigid nickel-graphite shells inside the case to reduce the effects of EMI.
