Thanks to the above mentioned nature of multilevel switching topology, users do not need to use big and bulky inductors in the output filtering circuits which are costly and take a large amount of PCB space. Instead, tiny ferrite beads can be used to replace those inductors which saves both PCB space and the BOM cost while allowing the systems to pass EMI tests.
