The LT3081 can be thought of as a higher current, ruggedized LT3080 with wider safe operating area or SOA, plus additional protection and monitoring features. Its architecture is based on the LT308x family of next-generation no-compromise current-reference based NPN LDOs. This architecture features a high-accuracy current-source reference and offers low noise, wide input & output voltage, and good PSRR.
