A flexible backlight is a variation of edge lit technology. Lumex mounts the LEDs on either or both sides of the light guide, and employs a light guide that is so thin (less than 0.50mm) that it is flexible. Uniformity and brightness enhancing films can also be added just as they are with Lumex’s traditional backlights.
