Shown here is a block diagram of CG5321 based PLC 2x2 MIMO reference design. All three power lines of phase, neutral, and ground are used for communication in 2x2 MIMO format. The phase-neutral and neutral-ground are two differential pairs used for communications. If 100 Mbps or less is required then 10/100M Ethernet PHY embedded in CG5321 can be utilized.
