A software programmable 8-bit and 10-bit PWM engine results in unprecedented dimming control while maintaining a consistent vivid color across the full dimming range. Typically, the 8-bits are used for setting the RGB color palette. Once the desired color is set, the 10-bit PWM is used to achieve unprecedented fine dimming control without affecting the color palette.
