The basic idea behind AMR measurement technology is that a magnetic field is used to transform mechanical motion into an electrical signal. Sensors based on this technology are well-suited for non-contact measurement of angles and rotations. Changes in resistance caused by changes in the magnetic field are converted to a signal output using a Wheatstone Bridge.
