The NR series is more compact than standard drum core inductors because it uses a space saving sleeveless design and a specialized ferrite resin coating. This coating removes the air gaps between the core and the windings which reduces eddy currents and increases the Q factor. The resin coating also increases the inductor’s structural integrity and heat transfer by creating one solid component.
