The current loop can be accomplished with the integrated MSP430F2274 analog modules; specifically the ADC10, OA, and timer module of the F2274. The advantages of using an integrated solution as opposed to a discrete solution are reduced BOM cost, reduced overall system power, and simplified board designs.
