On this slide a reference design is shown that was feature at APEC2012. This design shows a point of load solution using TI’s TPS53219 and the CSD87331Q3D 3 x 3 mm power block. This is an impressive, tiny, and efficient design at 12 V of input voltage, 1.5 V of output voltage at a switching frequency of 800 kHz. The solution size is 0.75” x 0.72”.
