As shown on this page, the optical sensor section has a four pin header used to connect the optical sensors and a three pin header with a shorting jumper. The jumper can be used to set the phototransistor load resistance to 2.5 KΩ, 9.6 KΩ, or 27 KΩ. Increasing the load resistance increases the senor sensitivity.
