A unique feature of the A4952 is the open drain fault output that can be used to notify the user when an overcurrent event has been triggered. In addition the A4952 has a selectable retry feature. If the retry pin is pulled to ground the device will, in the event of a short circuit, turn off the outputs for 2ms before enabling the bridge again.
