The advantages of the FL128L over the FL127S and the FL128S is it having a uniform 4 KByte sector size and lower currents. For those applications that need a very high read bandwidth, the FL128S will still be the part to choose since it has a DDR speed of 80 MHz vs 66 MHz for the FL128L.
