Users with SNMP may opt to access their midspan remotely by using an internet browser. Using http:// access will give users more control over administrative function such as setting the device name and password, community strings, and IP address etc. Http:// access will also allow users to update the SNMP firmware and if SNMPv3 is installed then SSL functions are also available.
